jewel tone tunic

last week, i posted an outfit that featured a studded flannel shirt from pacsun's holiday collection. today's post is the follow up and features this gorgeous cobalt blue tunic, also from pacsun's holiday collection. i will be honest and say i do not own anything in this color, but this shirt is making me re-think that! i need more items in my closet in this beautiful jewel tone color.

the shirt itself is long, flowing and opaque. it is difficult to see in these pictures, but the tops of the sleeves near the shoulders are made of a sheer fabric. although the addition of the sheer fabric is subtle, it really edges up this tunic.

the picture above shows how i would style this top. the v-neck neckline begs for a glamorous necklace and i think this one from baublebar is absolutely perfect. as for pants, i paired the j.crew factory ponte pants. these pants look like they were made for this shirt, and they compliment each other nicely. lastly, the leopard printed loafers from steve madden complete the look. i have been wearing leopard printed shoes a lot this fall and winter and they always add the perfect amount of pizzazz.
